Spox: Sberbank in talks with Sindika owners after fire

MOSCOW, Oct 12 (PRIME) -- Russia’s biggest lender Sberbank is in negotiations with owners of construction materials market Sindika on settlement of issues which might appear after a fire on the market, a spokesperson for the bank told PRIME on Thursday.

“Sindika is indeed a client of the bank; the one that we have long-term trust-based relations with. We are currently negotiating settlement of the situation with the client,” the official said.

Sindika caught fire on October 8 and according to the management company, sustained 4 billion rubles of losses. Insurer VTB Insurance has not decided on reimbursement yet.
